Dream Drop : February 8, 2023

I saw a news headline of Israel under attack. It looked like a main stream media news alert flashing across the screen of my mind. I saw words relating to the attack but cannot remember them except these three words in big, capital letters: "FIRE WITH GOD". These were the words written on the banner along with other words. I also saw Israel requesting scuba gear - snorkels specifically. (Dream ends).

(Next dream - same night) :

I'm under the water snorkeling or scuba diving - I'm not sure which. I had a face mask on and could see clearly. There was an acquaintance swimming next to me and she kept getting me confused with someone else (apparently I had a twin in this dream who was also swimming alongside us). The acquaintance kept commenting how shocked she was that we looked so much alike. (Dream ends).

Do these dreams coincide? Is it ironic that I dreamed about the subject of "snorkels" back to back? Could I have represented America with my twin (Israel) swimming next to me? Might God view America and Israel as two sides of the same coin? Are they two sides of the same coin? How do you escape fire?

I'd like to comment here about my thoughts on the nation state of Israel as it stands today. Whether these thoughts matter as it relates to my dream or not, I'm not sure. But here goes it anyway: Israel (the land and the people in it) is NOT God's chosen people. Are some of His chosen people currently living there? Absolutely. As they are in Palestine as well. As they are all over the world! Now, I realize this may ruffle most American feathers and get me labeled "anti-semitic" because we've (the majority of western church) always been made to believe that the verse "those who bless Israel will be bIessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed" (Gen 12:3) has to apply to the land and Jewish people of Israel today. This teaching is wrong. God's chosen people are the people that by faith have accepted Jesus' finished work on the cross. God sending His one and only son for humanity transcends ethnic boundaries. It is no longer the Jew only who can receive a place at the table, but everyone who places faith in Jesus! This is the true Israel! Paul lays this out very clearly in Galatians 6. He is the olive branch in which God sent to repair the relationship that had been broken due to sin. I just wonder how long His patience will endure? How long will He tolerate rejection?
